ILAN AMORES

Born in Buenos Aires and raised in Posadas, Misiones, Ilan Amores is a multi-instrumentalist and songwriter who built his career from the rougher edges of punk rock. He played bass for Argies—a band that toured over 15 countries across Europe—and drums for Canadian group Harm & Ease, before going solo under the alias Chico Chico. His sound blends cumbia, electronic beats, psychedelia, and Latin American popular music with a sensitive, direct lyricism that echoes the global spirit of Manu Chao. The album \*Caballo Negro\* (2024) cemented his place in the Argentine indie scene, and his track "Bar La Perla" catapulted him to international viral fame.
